Adverb agreement

Agreeing adverbs do not form a cohesive class cross-linguistically. Attestted diachronic sources include agreeing adjectives, possessed nominals and intransitive postpositions.

Complementizer agreement

Agreeing complementisers belong to two distinct types: those that agree with an argument of the complement clause, and those that agree with a discourse participant coded in the matrix clause.

Adposition agreement

Adpositions that index the feature values of their complement or a clause level argument vary according to whether indexation is compatible with the presence of an independent noun phrase, pronoun or neither.

Noun agreement

Nouns that index the features of other clause-level participants are cross-linguistically unusual. Most nouns exhibiting clause-level agreement have developed from adverbial uses of nominals as locative adjuncts.
